Boreal FM Plamondon
Community Radio’s Music/Interview Archives

The Plamondon pioneers who brought their musical instruments, tunes and songs, passed down the love of music to their descendants.

Plamondon’s community radio station, Boreal FM (https://borealfm.com/), in the last few years has taken on some very worthwhile history projects to preserve local stories, theatre and music. They have uploaded their results to their YouTube and Soundcloud accounts.

However, for the following two repositories, please read the following explanations before you click on their link:

Plamondonville Podcasts (To celebrate the music from Plamondon & District, Crystal Plamondon (https://www.crystalplamondon.com/) interviewed singers/musicians in the winter 2022-2023, regarding their music and their ancestral influences):  https://borealfm.com/plamondonville/

On that webpage, scroll down to read a few of the podcast descriptions.  Clicking on a podcast photo, will bring you directly to its Soundcloud repository.

To see all the podcasts that were recorded, click on the “Écouter tout les Episodes” button located below the photos.  It will bring you to the Plamondonville Podcast main Soundcloud repository.  (Audio – French)

Plamondon Music files (255+ tracks from 16+ artists for a total of 14+ hours were recorded in the 1960’s+ and digitized in the winter 2022-2023): https://soundcloud.com/user–72033743/sets/musique–100–plamondon (Audio – French/English)

The music tracks found in the above link, are mainly grouped by artists but are sorted by the Soundcloud Track Numbers.  Thus, should you wish to listen to a particular artist, refer to the chart below.  After you have noted the track numbers of the artist, scroll through the Soundcloud infinity pages, until you arrive to your desired track numbers.
