An exciting new family adventure, “The Lost Compass of Lac La Biche,” has launched in Alberta’s heartland, inviting participants to explore the Lac La Biche Region’s rich natural, historical, and cultural heritage through a captivating scavenger hunt.
This unique quest centers around “The Archivist,” a mysterious historical figure who collected local artifacts and stories before vanishing, leaving behind cryptic clues hidden within three distinct museums.
The scavenger hunt features three engaging puzzles:
Lac La Biche Museum: “The Archivist’s Ledger”
Musée Plamondon Museum: “The Forgotten Map “
Lac La Biche Mission Historical Site: “The Sands of Memory”
The culmination of “The Lost Compass” adventure is a profound riddle that weaves together all the gathered clues. Participants can visit the museums in any order and present their answer at any of the participating locations to receive their own “Explorer’s Compass.”
